Inkopolis Connection aims to provide a positive place for fans within the Splatoon community to enjoy and discover content from across the web. We feel that social media can be negative and mentally taxing, especially as many users tend to be more online now than ever. Our aim is to let fans enjoy the creations of the Splatoon community without running into the negativity that tends to permeate within these platforms, effectively showing only the best the community has to offer while leaving the harmful content behind.

All of our content is sourced straight from the creators with their consent to repost onto our site. We will ask permission every time we wish to utilize their content, so they are well aware who, what, and where their creations are being used. Memes are a unique case, however, as the nature of memes make them widely shared without proper crediting. We will try to find the original creator, but may post without credit if it cannot be found; if you are the original creator or may know who it may be, please contact us.

While we are more than happy to take content down if requested, we would prefer to keep posts up in an effort to save as much western Splatoon-related media so that it may not become lost media. If you have changed your username, you may request we update an older post to properly credit you with your new name.

We are not looking to post about Splatoon news, facts, or any tourney information at this time. There are plenty of venues for such content. We will however dedicate certain days/ weeks to important days for Splatoon (such as anniversaries, character birthdays, etc.)

Some explanations, for those curious:

Why no politics/ activism? - We feel that on every social media platform, there is plenty of political discussion and excess activism to go around. This site is intended to focus on Splatoon and everything in it, not on the real world's issues and dealings. While this may sound rather off-hand to those who feel strongly about the politics they push, there are plenty more people who want a space to relax and detach from our tiring reality. If you wish to engage in such content, please do so elsewhere.

Why no Xeno / Monster Inklings or Octolings? - I feel this kind of content is too far detached from the base creatures of Splatoon to feature. I have also noted people in the community have felt uncomfortable with them as well, and would not like to shock anybody with such imagery, either. We hope that Xeno / Monster Inkling and Octoling enthusiasts understand our reasoning and continue to create their content freely.

Shipping content between canon characters is currently not allowed.

You posted the content of a creator I don't like. Can I do anything about it?

At the moment, we don't have any particular lists of creators whose content we will not post. If we post a user who has committed any (legally admissable) crimes or wrongdoings who may endanger or hurt the community, you are more than welcome to notify us on any of our social media accounts. We do require evidence that these users are a danger, especially to minors, to prevent rumor-mongering, as we are fully aware of the nature of the community at times.
